Dr. Jur S. Mücahit TANVERDİ
(1954-2011)

He was born in 1954 in Adıyaman, to Mr. Sami Tanverdi, a judge, and Mrs. Elçin Tanverdi. After graduating from İstanbul Erkek Lisesi, a German high school, in 1972, he simultaneously continued and completed his higher education at Istanbul University Law Faculty and the Theatre Department of Istanbul State Conservatory.

Our valuable Founder took up a position as research assistant at Istanbul University Law Faculty, Department of Law of Civil Procedure and Bankruptcy and Execution Law after his law internship. During this period, he continued his doctorate studies via the DAAD scholarship of Federal Republic of Germany between years 1982 and 1983 and received his doctorate (PhD) from Istanbul University Law Faculty.

He served as an assistant associate professor at Istanbul University Law Faculty between 1992 and 1995 and at KOU Law Faculty between 1995 and 2004. He served as the head of the Department of Law of Civil Procedure and Bankruptcy and Execution Law at Bahçeşehir University from 2004 until he passed away in April of 2011.

Our founder, who worked as the trusted attorney and legal consultant of Istanbul Austrian Consulate General and Austria Foreign Trade Office, was awarded the “Outstanding Service Medal” by Austrian Government in 2005, for his services in the field of law.

We remember our founder, who untimely passed away in 2011, with great respect and gratitude.
