She was born in 1967 in Istanbul to lawyer Mehmet Sinan Şavata and Yüksel Şavata. She graduated from Istanbul University Law Faculty in 1988 and the same year she started to serve as a faculty member in the department of Civil Procedure Law and Bankruptcy and Execution Law of the Istanbul University Law Faculty. She completed her graduate studies of Private Law program in Istanbul University Social Studies Institute in 1997, with the thesis on “Acquired Rights in Civil Procedure Law with a Specific Look on Procedural Acquired Rights”. She is a registered lawyer of the Istanbul Bar Association since 1999. Also, she continues to act as a member of the Board of Trustees for Malatya Education Foundation as well as a member of the Advisory Board of the Law Faculty of the MEF University. Ms. Tanverdi is the Trusted Attorney of Istanbul Austrian Consulate General.
